In many states, if your staff scanned or checked a patron's ID and it came back valid, you have an affirmative defense if that patron later turns out to be underage. - Passback detection. The same ID twice should raise a passback flag, even mid-rush.
- A real record. A tamper-evident log you can export when someone asks.
